Johnson’s technical marketing/development skills complement his political background and networking efforts in order to accomplish client objectives. He is accustomed to coordinating with numerous technicians (i.e. Environmental, engineering, land use, contracting, legal, accounting, etc.) as well as various governmental overlays (i.e. Planning, public works, architectural review, building, urban renewal, airport, utilities, etc.) To his credit, he has profitably liquidated nearly 250 management units for a local financial institution, managed over 750 acres of commercial and industrial land, managed/developed several hundred thousand square feet of industrial space and was the lead developer in what has become Oregon’s largest retail “Power Center” (Crater Lake Plaza). In addition to his brokerage resources, Johnson brings organizational skills and expertise not often found in major real estate markets, let alone, southwest Oregon. Since 1997, Johnson has been engaged in rural property issues as well, selling vacant land, farm and ranch properties. He previously owned and managed a medium size ranch operation focused on APHA and AQHA performance horses.

He has a lifetime of experience in the beef cattle industry and ranching. He earned his Ph.D in Animal Science at Kansas State University and taught for a total of 25 years at Santa Rosa Junior College, Fresno State, Colorado State, and Texas A&M. In addition to his classroom and research responsibilities, he served as the livestock judging team coach at all of the aforementioned schools. Following his time in collegiate teaching, he served as the CEO of the North American Limousin Foundation for 7 years before moving on to Express Ranches in Oklahoma. Most recently, he was employed by Magness Land and Cattle of Platteville, Colorado. While he is new to the real estate business, his background in Agriculture and interest in helping people should serve as a solid foundation as a real estate broker.
